Fushigi Yûgi: Genbu Kaiden summary: Living in the Taisho Era, Takiko Okuda is a resolute young girl who faces numerous hardships. Her beloved, Oosugi, is married; her mother is terminally ill, and her father, Einosuke, has been absent for a year. Einosuke finally returns with a notebook filled with Chinese writings that he values more than his wife's demise, prompting Takiko to steal his translation, "The Universe of the Four Gods," with the intent of destroying it.
